Sasakia charonda has blue metallic wings and prefers to live in sparsely populated forests, flying high in the air at high speeds. They like to feed on tree sap and rotten fruits, which are often used by hunters to lure them.It is a subspecies of butterfly in Taiwan and is also a conservation species.
